Stunning views but service needs work
Just spent 2 nights here and the views are amazing! The bar had some nice drinks but breakfast wasn't great. We waited forever for food, and when it did arrive, the tray was pretty much empty. The staff could be friendlier too. it felt a bit off putting at check-in. The room was comfy though!

Had a lovely stay in a beautifully decorated room with stunning views, and I especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the cozy log fire in the lounge. The sun terrace and garden area provided perfect spots to relax and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. My room could have used a little updating, but overall, it was a delightful experience! 😊

comfortably spacious room with potential improvements
The room was lovely, spacious, and immaculate with thoughtful amenities like complementary sweets and a sewing kit. I particularly appreciated the high-quality tea selections and a very clean bathroom.
The breakfast buffet could benefit from a few more hot options.

Recommend it for families with kids
The staff were friends, they really made an effort! The room was cozy, stocked with all the toiletries—like they knew I was gonna need them.
It wasn’t a bargain, but still acceptable.

The stay was decent, with a lovely location overlooking the lake. The dining area was beautiful, and the service during breakfast was exceptional, making it a treat to start the day. on the first day, we noticed the bar area was under-stocked and it took a while to be served. it was a nice stop while exploring the Lakes area, but there’s room for improvement in service during busy times.

Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a variety of delicious options. the service at the reception could be improved, as it was sometimes slow.

Had an amazing time with friends! We explored a beautiful local park and relaxed by the stunning lake. The breakfast was filling, and we loved the cozy sitting rooms. Perfect for unwinding. Totally recommend for get-togethers! Just a heads-up, the bar seating wasn’t super comfy in the evenings.
The reception area felt a bit exposed. I noticed some privacy concerns while waiting for service, which was a bit off-putting.

exceptional breakfast, but room needs improvement
The breakfast offered was exceptional. Each morning, we had a made-to-order dish that delighted our taste buds, with a different variety to savor each day.
The room decor felt outdated and did not meet my expectations for a country house hotel.

I had a wonderful stay here where i could easily stroll over to the beautiful orrest head for breathtaking views and visit the world of beatrix potter attraction just a short drive away, truly making it an ideal spot for someone who loves city walks and exploring landmark sights. the cozy room offered thoughtful extras like sweets and quality tea, perfect for a relaxing evening after a day of adventures. but the lengthy staircase can be a bit challenging for those with mobility issues.
